What is BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) Do you know the basics?

It is the course that help you to be a dentist,who concerns with healthy  maintainance of head and face ; particularly Oral Cavity/mouth.


Full form of BDS : 

Bachelor of Dental Surgery.

Duration 

It may vary according to different universities.

  • According to Kerala University of health and science (KUHS) ,this course consist of 4 and half year study + 1 year internship.

Course structure : 

  • This course divided into 4 and half years.
  • You will have total 5 set of exams during this course.
  • Exam conduct annually on first 3 years.
  • Final year,which have a duration of 1 year and 6 months divided into two
  • Part A/Part 1 : Consist of one year after which you have exams &
  • Part B/Part 2 : Consist of 6 months after which exams will conducted.
